Topic: "Web Design:<<Site Under Construction>>"
About the Event
Designing a web site is more than slick graphics and cryptic HTML code. With proper planning and focus, the Internet can be your storefront to the world, enabling you to create your own pot-of-gold at the end of a cyber-rainbow, or with a "build it, and they will come" attitude, a virtual cyber money-pit. There are "new" or "improved" tools and wizards wherever you turn, and almost everyday a new web technology becomes available. You'd think with all the potential and technology the WEB would "look" and "feel" a little better than it does.
The biggest mistakes in web design happen somewhere between the initial utterance of "What do we need to do to get on the WEB," and the time the first .html or .asp file is published. There is a difference between a "Work in Progress" and a "Site Under Construction". Mr. Baron will discuss some of the most common techniques and theories for creating a successful web presence.
Don't forget your business cards for networking!
