Topic: "Branding: More than a hot iron! Mary Wise discusses the STC Brand Project" (1999-2000 STC Technical Communication Competition Traveling Exhibit also on display)
About the Event
When you hear "The Real Thing," what do you think of? Coke, of course! What about STC? What qualities do you associate with your professional organization? Tonight Mary Wise, STC's immediate past president, will tell us about the results of the STC Brand Study recently conducted by Parker LePla, and the implications that this brand has on the direction of the Society and the value of our STC membership. Before and after Mary's presentation, inspire yourself with the traveling exhibit of winning entries from the 1999-2000 International Technical Publications, Technical Art, Public Relations, and Newsletter Competitions.
This Program is co-sponsored by the STC Baltimore Chapter. Come on out to JHU/APL in Laurel. It's closer than you think!

Mary R. Wise is Immediate Past President of the STC and Senior Manager of User Education at Manugistics, Inc. She has over 20 years experience in technical communication, including stints as word processor, technical writer, instructional designer, and manager. At Manugistics, Mary directs the development of documentation for the company's supply chain management software products. Her STC service includes several conference planning roles, a term as Director-Sponsor for Region 2, and participation on the executive council of the Board of Directors.
