About the Instructor

Melissa Brown is a technical writer at QuadraMed Corporation in Reston, where she writes user guides and online Help for healthcare applications. She has over 10 years of experience in the technical writing field. Melissa is a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) and past manager of the STC WDC Online Special Interest Group (SIG).

She also actively participates in local and international STC technical writing competitions and has won awards of Merit and Excellence for her own work. She is currently serving as First Vice President and Competitions Manager.
