About the Event

During the chapter year, our volunteers work hard to increase the value of Society membership by providing networking and learning opportunities, organizing competitions, communicating careers information and job opportunities, raising money for scholarships, and many other activities. Come help thank our volunteers and welcome our new leadership for next chapter year.

This event is also a chance to meet STC Fellows and Associate Fellows from the Washington, DC Chapter. The rank of Fellow is the highest honor the Society offers and is bestowed on only 1 percent of the total STC members that have made the most positive impact on our profession. Associate Fellows are nominated by individual chapters and represent the upper 2 percent of total STC members.

Food

At Guapo's Restaurant, we'll have a generous buffet of some of the best Tex-Mex food in the DC area:

Fajitas, tacos, burritos, and enchiladas, with chicken, beef and veggie options
Mexican rice, refried beans, and vegetables
Fresh flour tortillas
Guacamole, pico de gallo, chips and salsa

Soft drinks and ice tea are included. Beer and margaritas are on your own.

Fees and Registration

Admission Fees

$15	STC members with advance registration **
$10	Current STC WDC chapter volunteers with advance registration
$25	Nonmembers with advance registration
Free	Fellows, Associate Fellows and Honored Volunteers with advance registration
**	Each STC member may bring one guest at the member rate. Members and guests must register and pay together.

Admission fees help to offset the costs of our programs. Fees may vary from program to program because of the costs of food and beverages, room rental, and other services. Our attendees pay slightly different fees depending on whether they are members, nonmembers, students, chapter volunteers, or walk-ins. We also sometimes offer a program-only option for programs that are not held in restaurants.

Contact the Events Committee Manager to inquire about free admission in exchange for volunteering at the event. We do not accept last-minute volunteers unless we have an unanticipated need for extra help.

Registration

Advance reservation deadline: Monday, June 1, 2004

This event requires advance registration and payment. We encourage and sometimes require all attendees to register in advance. Registration is required for this event and must be made by Monday, June 1, 2003 at 5 p.m.

Restrictions: We do not provide refunds for no-shows who do cancel before the registration deadline. No shows who do not cancel before June 1 will be billed.

You may pay by sending a check through the U.S. Mail or by making a secure online payment through our PayPal page using your credit card, debit card, bank account, or by paying money from a funded PayPal account.
