National Press Club is located on 14th Street between F and G streets and directly across from the Warner Theater.

By Metro:

The National Press Club is two blocks from the Metro Center station on the Red, Orange and Blue lines.

At the Metro Center station, you may take either the 13th and G Street Exit or the 12th and F Street Exit.

National Press Club mapTake the 13th Street Exit then the escalator to 13th Street. You will be at the corner of 13th and G Streets. Walk one block south to F Street. Turn right (West) and walk one block to 14th Street. Turn left and walk about 30 yards downhill to the National Press Building lobby. Enter and take the elevators on your right to the 13th Floor.

Take the 12th Street Exit to F Street. Walk West along F Street to either the mid-block Fox Arch entrance on F Street, or continue to 14th Street, turn left, and go about 30 yards to the main entrance.

F Street Fox Arch entrance You can enter mid-block F Street and find your way to the lobby of the National Press Club. Enter under what is known as the Fox Arch, for the famous theater that used to be located here. Walk past the news stand on your right and stay to the right. Go to the center-end of the mall and down a short escalator, up several marble steps, and then left to the elevators on your left. Go to the 13th Floor.

Note: E Street NW between 17th and 15th Streets remains closed to all traffic.

From Virginia by way of Constitution Avenue:
(Not recommended during evening rush hour.) Proceed to the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Cross the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Keep right to continue on to Constitution Avenue. Follow Constitution Avenue to 15th Street. Turn left onto 15th Street. A few blocks up is F Street. Turn right onto F Street. One block over is 14th Street. The National Press Building is at the corner of 14th and F Street next to the J.W. Marriott Hotel. To park, see Parking.

From Virginia by way of I-66 East / E Street:
Proceed to the Roosevelt Bridge. Cross the Roosevelt Bridge and bear left on the I-66 East/E Street exit. Keep right at the fork in the ramp to continue on the E Street Expressway. The E Street Expressway becomes a ramp. Continue on E Street NW to 18th Street. Turn left on 18th Street. Just after crossing Pennsylvannia Avenue turn right onto H Street. Continue to 14th Street. Turn right on 14th Street and continue to G or F Street for parking. The National Press Building is at the corner of 14th and F Street next to the J.W. Marriott Hotel. To park, see Parking.

From Alexandria, Washington/I-395:
Take the George Washington Memorial Parkway (GW Parkway) to the US-50 West exit on the left towards Memorial Bridge/Arlington Cemetery. Keep left at the fork in the ramp and merge onto Arlington Memorial Bridge. Make a slight right onto Lincoln Memorial Circle SW. Turn left onto 23rd Street NW. At the next circle, make the second turn onto K Street NW, then turn right on 14th Street and continue to F or G Street for parking. From Virginia via the GW Parkway:
Take the George Washington Memorial Parkway South and follow signs to the Memorial Bridge. Make a slight right onto Lincoln Memorial Circle SW. Turn left onto 23rd Street NW. At the next circle, make the second turn onto K Street NW, then turn right on 14th Street and continue to G or F Street for parking. From I-270 and I-495 in Maryland:
Take I-495 to the River Road exit for Washington, DC. Take River Road south to Goldsboro Road and turn right. Turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue. Follow Massachusetts Avenue to 14th Street NW and turn right. From 14th Street turn left onto G Street – the PMI Garage is halfway down the block on the left at 1325 G Street. Walk out of the garage and turn right. At 14th Street turn left. Walk 1 1/2 blocks to the entrance of the National Press Building. Enter and take the elevators to the 13th Floor.

From the Capital Beltway:
From either north or south on I-495, exit at I-66 E and follow signs to Washington, DC and the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Proceed to the Roosevelt Bridge. Cross the Roosevelt Bridge and bear left on the I-66 East/E Street exit. Keep right at the fork in the ramp to continue on the E Street Expressway. The E Street Expressway becomes a ramp. Continue on E Street NW to 19th Street. Turn left on 18th Street. Just after crossing Pennsylvannia Avenue turn right onto H Street. Continue to 14th Street. From Washington, DC NE and Maryland:
Take your favorite route to E Street West. Turn right onto E Street. Continue to 13th Street. Turn left on G Street for parking. The National Press Building is at the corner of 14th and F Street next to the J.W. Marriott Hotel. To park, see Parking.

From Baltimore:
Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway south and exit at New York Ave (Route 50). Follow New York Ave all the way to 14th Street and turn left (south). The National Press Building is at the corner of 14th and F Street next to the J.W. Marriott Hotel. To park, see Parking.

Parking

A PMI garage is located on the north side of G Street between 13th and 14th Streets. 14th Street entrance: From the garage, walk one block south to F Street. Turn right (West) and walk one block to 14th Street. Turn left and walk downhill to the National Press Building lobby. (Note: If dining at an NPC restaurant, the NPC will validate parking for this location.)

F Street Fox Arch entrance You can enter mid-block F Street and find your way to the lobby of the National Press Club. Enter under what is known as the Fox Arch, for the famous theater that used to be located here. Walk past the news stand on your right and stay to the right. Go to the center-end of the mall and down a short escalator, up several marble steps, and then left to the elevators on your left. Go to the 13th Floor.

A Carr Park is located at the corner of 15th and F Streets. From the garage, walk one block East along F Street to 14th Street. Turn right and walk downhill to the National Press Building lobby.

A PMI garage is located on 13th Street between F and E Streets. Take the elevator to the mall level. Walk out towards your left. This will take you to the F Street entrance to the mall. Turn left and walk past the news stand on your right and stay to the right. Go to the center-end of the mall and down a short escalator, up several marble steps, and then left to the elevators on your left. Go to the 13th Floor.

Parking in Metro lots

A SmarTrip card is the only form of payment accepted at Metro-operated parking lots. For more information about Metro parking and lot operating hours, see Parking at Metrorail Stations.

Where to Buy a SmarTrip Card

You may purchase SmarTrip cards online from the SmarTrip Store.

Standard SmarTrip Farecard

A renewable SmarTrip farecard purchased online has a $20 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $25 online.

Senior and Disabled SmarTrip Farecard

In order to purchase a discounted farecard, Senior citizens (65 and older) and persons with disabilities must have proof of age or a valid Metro Disability ID Card. For information on how to apply, see https://www.wmata.com/service/accessibility/metro-access/eligibility.cfm. Senior citizens 65 years or older with a disability and Medicare card holders with a valid photo ID are not required to apply for the Metro Disability ID card, but may purchase fare by showing proof of age at any Metro Sales location, many public libraries in the District of Columbia, Montgomery County, and Prince George's County, and retail outlets. Applications for the free WMATA Disabled ID card are available from the Office of ADA Programs at 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001 or by calling 202-962-1245 or TTY 202-628-8973 or calling 202-962-1558 or TTY 202-962-2033 and requesting an application be mailed to you. A renewable SmarTrip farecard for senior (65 and older) and disabled riders purchased online has a $10 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $15 online.

SmarTrip cards may also be purchased from vending machines in Metro stations but come with a lower initial fare value: $5 for the card with a $5 fare value for a total of $10 for the standard farecard. A separate vending machine allows you to add fare value up to $300 to the card.
