Red line, Dupont Circle Metro station: Exit at the north end of the Station to Q Street and walk four blocks north on Connecticut Avenue to the hotel at 1919 Connecticut Avenue.

From your starting point: Driving Directions and Map.

From Virginia via the George Washington Parkway:
Enter the parkway wherever it is convenient for you and drive towards the Key Bridge/Washington. Be sure to be in right lane when the speed limit drops to 40 MPH. Immediately after passing under the arch of the Key Bridge, take the Key Bridge/Rosslyn/DC exit. Turn right and cross Key Bridge in the right lane. Be careful to take the sharp right onto the Whitehurst Freeway exit. This exit is before the end of the bridge and has only a small sign. Follow the Whitehurst Freeway straight onto K Street. At 18th Street, turn left at 18th Street. Follow 18th Street to Connecticut Avenue. Turn left on Connecticut Avenue. Stay in the left-hand lane and take the DuPont Circle underpass. The Hilton Washington will be three blocks up on the right corner of Connecticut Avenue and T Street. To park, see Parking.

From Virginia via I-66:
Take I-66 east. When crossing the river, be in the right lanes and follow signs to Constitution Avenue. Once on Constitution Avenue, get into the left lane which will require you to turn left at 18th Street. Follow 18th Street to Connecticut Avenue. Turn left on Connecticut Avenue. Stay in the left-hand lane and take the DuPont Circle underpass. The Hilton Washington will be three blocks up on the right corner of Connecticut Avenue and T Street. To park, see Parking.

From Virginia via I-395:
Take I-395 north. Move to the left lane when you see the sign for Route 1. This will take you to the 14th Street exit. Take 395 North over the 14th St. Bridge. Stay in the left-hand lane and take 14th Street to R St. NW. Make a left on R Street. Follow R Street for six blocks to Connecticut Avenue NW. Make a right on Connecticut Avenue. The Hilton Washington will be four blocks up on the right. To park, see Parking.

From Washington, D.C. via 16th Street NW:
Go north on 16th Street to R Street. At R Street, turn left and continue on R Street to Connecticut Avenue. Turn right onto Connecticut Avenue. The Hilton Washington will be two blocks up on the right. To park, see Parking.

From Baltimore:
Take I 95 South to 495 West 495 West to exit 33, the sign will say Chevy Chase/Connecticut Avenue. Take Connecticut Avenue South After approximately five miles on Connecticut Avenue South you will see the National Zoo on your left. Five blocks after zoo you will come to the William Taft Bridge. Cross bridge and get into left lane. At third traffic light, make a left, hotel will be on left. Parking entrance will be first driveway on left (T Street). To park, see Parking.

From Montgomery County via I-495:
Travel south on I-495 (Capital Beltway) towards Fairfax/Northern Virginia to the American Legion Bridge. Cross the bridge in the right lane and follow the signs to VA-193 exit (exit 43-44) for the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Merge onto exit 43 towards George Washington Memorial Parkway south and drive towards the Key Bridge/Washington. Be sure to be in the right lane when the speed limit drops to 40 MPH. Immediately after passing under the arch of the Key Bridge, take the Key Bridge/Rosslyn/DC exit. Turn right and cross Key Bridge in the right lane. Be careful to take the sharp right onto the Whitehurst Freeway exit. This exit is before the end of the bridge and has only a small sign. Follow the Whitehurst Freeway straight onto K Street. At 17th Street, turn left onto Connecticut Avenue. Stay in the left-hand lane and take the DuPont Circle underpass. From Montgomery County via Georgia Avenue/16th Street:
From I-495 take the Georgia Avenue exit 31 towards Silver Spring. Stay in the right lane, and immediately after the Exxon gas station, veer to the right onto 16th Street. After about 5 miles, turn right onto Columbia Road, NW. Follow Columbia Road to where it ends at Connecticut Avenue. Turn left onto Connecticut, then left onto T Street. To park, see Parking.

From Prince George's County via the Baltimore Washington Parkway:
Take the B-W Parkway to the New York Avenue exit. (See the New York Avenue instructions).

From Prince George's County via Route 50:
Take Route 50 to the New York Avenue exit. (See the New York Avenue instructions).

From Prince George's County via New York Avenue:
Continue on New York Avenue to the new DC Convention Center. Stay in the right lanes and veer very slightly to the right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Move into the left lane and after about 4 blocks take the short underpass tunnel. Continue on to Dupont Circle. Turn right into the circle. Stay in the outer right-hand lane and take the 4th exit (about 1/3 around the circle) and turn right onto Connecticut Avenue (north). The Hilton Washington will be 4 blocks up on the right corner of Connecticut Avenue and T Street. To park, see Parking.

From Prince George's County via I-295 or Suitland Parkway to Frederick Douglass/South Capitol Street Bridge: After crossing the Anacostia River, be in the right lane and follow signs to the SE/SW Freeway towards Virginia/Alexandria. Take the 12th Street exit. Follow 12th Street to K Street. Turn left onto K Street, then right onto Connecticuit Avenue. Stay in the left-hand lane and take the DuPont Circle underpass. The Hilton Washington will be three blocks up on the right corner of Connecticut Avenue and T Street. To park, see Parking.

Parking

Parking is under the hotel. Make a right on T Street from Connecticut Avenue. The first driveway on the left will be the entrance to the parking facilities. Daily Parking Charge: $23.00

Accessibility

There are elevators to take you from the garage and the lobby to the location of the awards celebration. In the lobby, turn right and walk toward the concierge desk. Turn left and walk toward the back of the building. The elevators and restrooms are on your left.

Where to Buy a SmarTrip Card

You may purchase SmarTrip cards online from the SmarTrip Store. SmarTrip cards are accepted on all Metrobuses, and many local transit systems in northern Virginia and Maryland such as Ride-On and the Fairfax Connector. (See the full list on SmarTrip page.) You may also purchase SmarTrip cards from several CVS and Giant Food stores. See the list at https://www.wmata.com/fares/smartrip/ (Commuter stores in northern Virginia are also listed). Standard SmarTrip Farecard

A renewable SmarTrip farecard purchased online has a $20 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $25 online.

Senior and Disabled SmarTrip Farecard

In order to purchase a discounted farecard, Senior citizens (65 and older) and persons with disabilities must have proof of age or a valid Metro Disability ID Card. For information on how to apply, see https://www.wmata.com/service/accessibility/metro-access/eligibility.cfm. Senior citizens 65 years or older with a disability and Medicare card holders with a valid photo ID are not required to apply for the Metro Disability ID card, but may purchase fare by showing proof of age at any Metro Sales location, many public libraries in the District of Columbia, Montgomery County, and Prince George's County, and retail outlets. Applications for the free WMATA Disabled ID card are available from the Office of ADA Programs at 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001 or by calling 202-962-1245 or TTY 202-628-8973 or calling 202-962-1558 or TTY 202-962-2033 and requesting an application be mailed to you. A renewable SmarTrip farecard for senior (65 and older) and disabled riders purchased online has a $10 fare value already on it. The cost for the renewable card is $5. The total charge for this card is $15 online.

SmarTrip cards may also be purchased from vending machines in Metro stations but come with a lower initial fare value: $5 for the card with a $5 fare value for a total of $10 for the standard farecard. A separate vending machine allows you to add fare value up to $300 to the card.
